Part time After School Nanny required for family with two young Girls in Hope, Flintshire, 3 days per week.
Happy Nest Nanny Agency are seeking a caring nanny to provide part-time after school care, 3 days per week, for two children in Hope, Flintshire.
This family are hoping to enjoy the benefit of a warm and caring nanny who can provide interesting and engaging activities for their 5-year-old in the afternoons, after school, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.
And whilst Miss 5 has an adorable little sister, aged 2, she’s in nursery full days and will be collected by the parents at finish time before arriving home.
- 3pm to 6pm
- Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday
This role is approximately 9 to 10 hours per week.
But wait, there’s more! You’ve also the option of 1 additional hour available on a Friday (prior to the 3pm school pick up) for light housekeeping if you are interested.
- Prepare a healthy snack after school, and the evening meal for the children
- Offer fun, educational, and stimulating activities to engage the mind, body, and soul
Miss 5 loves arts and crafts, and reading. She’s currently on the Biff, Chip, and Kipper books at school and loves them so much that you’ll likely be reading them lots at home too. She also has an appreciation for all things princesses, and participates in a dancing club.
Generally she’s a very laid back young girl. However, she really does benefit from invitations to play and learn. She thrives most when engaged in activities that spark creativity and ingenuity. So as the ideal nanny, you’ll be able to extend this opportunity to her–and equally enjoy your adventurous afternoons together!
As an extension of this, mum tells us Miss 5 has a growing curiosity for languages (further extending that educational experience she feels at home in). Which means it would be so perfect if you too had an interest in languages.
OK, so let’s get into this real quick while we’ve got your attention. Languages don’t have to be scary. And you don’t have to be fluent. Or a previous career as an official translator for the UN (duh).
Can you plan an afternoon activity to the library to pick up a few books in Welsh and explore them together? Done.
Could you queue up some French videos on YouTube (there’s loads, just ask Hope in the office if you need some recs), to watch together? Easy.
What about cooking spaghetti and practising your very best Italian as you prep the evening meal? Si? Well, voila, so easy. Prego (you’re welcome).
Further deets? We got them. You’ve a little flexibility in this role to make it your own in the afternoons. Basically, you’ve got yourself a little sidekick in Miss 5. She’s all about the personalised care and responsiveness.
There’s lots to do in this area, making it perfect for summer afternoons. The two of you will likely be regulars at Alyn Waters Country Park (with a park, play equipment, shop/cafe, and walks/bike path) only a short drive away.
And there’s also Erdigg (part of the National Trust), Hope mountain (with walking paths and a mountain lookout), plus lots of interactive play options like Banana Ben’s in Wrexham.
Note: you’re best suited to this part time nanny role in Hope, Flintshire, if you drive. Although, the school is only a 10 minute walk from home.
