Full Time Live In Nanny / Housekeeper / PA For Family in North West London

Happy Nest are seeking an experienced Nanny / PA (with some housekeeping duties) for a busy family with three teenage children in North West, London on a full time live in basis.

The ideal live in nanny will be experienced in providing care for teenagers, and accustomed to the typical nanny / pa role for managing a busy household. You’ll need to be proactive in managing the daily comings and goings, and run an efficient schedule when undertaking the various daily errands.

The children (two girls aged 12 and 15, and a 17-year-old boy) lead busy and active lifestyles between school and extra curricular activities. The 17-year-old loves football and is currently studying a football-coaching course. The girls, who attend the same school together, love shopping, music, netball, and swimming.

Your main priority within this role is to be present, and to offer support to the children. Your guidance and worldly knowledge will be greatly valued as you help to steer these children through their teenage years.

You’ll really enjoy this position if you love to work independently. It’s important that you’re able to set your own tasks, and prioritise errands within your daily agenda.

This role is live in, working 40 – 50 hours per week (50 if you’re keen to take on more of the PA side of things with admin of the household as well as the children). This role requires you to be available and caring for the children between the hours of 3pm to 8pm. Morning school drop offs are not required, and there is flexibility within the rest of the hours as long as the duties are carried out.

The ideal nanny will be pet friendly, as Miss 12 has a rather cute pet hamster.

  • 3pm to 8pm, Monday to Friday
  • Approx 3+ hours during school hours Monday to Friday
  • Flexibility during the day whilst the children are out of the house

Live In Nanny Duties:

Within this role you’ll oversee the children and the household. From day to day you’ll assist with school runs when needed, take the children shopping for things like their clothes and school shoes, and take them to their activities. The preferred nanny will assist with their homework, and support Miss 12 to practice the piano.

Meal preparation for the children is also required, and you will benefit greatly in this role if you’re confident in the kitchen. It would be ideal if you have previous experience preparing Kosher foods. Although don’t be put off by this if you don’t! The family are more than happy to provide training.

You’ll also run errands related to the household and children’s purchases (like returning items), and keep up to date with both the children’s school admin and household admin. Some housekeeping duties will apply, especially cleaning related to the children (such as ensuring the children keep their rooms tidy), however the family also have a cleaner.

As a result, the ideal nanny will be highly organised, and like to keep a record of things. This nanny / pa role will see you paying the family bills, arranging for the car to go to the garage when needed, and dropping off and collecting dry cleaning.
