Got loads of energy and an eye for detail? You’ll thrive in this role if you truly love to provide exceptional care for children, are keen to oversee the smooth running of the home.
This is a busy household. Both parents work full time, and as such they’re looking to find an experienced nanny for their 5-year-old daughter.
The ideal candidate will be trustworthy and extremely organised. You’ll manage the day-to-day functions of the home, and provide loving care to their daughter.
This Essex nanny position is a full time, live out role.
- 7am to 5pm, Monday to Friday
- Some extended hours may be required, particularly when one of the parents are away on business
This family enjoy living in a very organised and tidy home, and as a result their dream nanny housekeeper will be keen to keep their house in order. The ideal candidate will be able to triage tasks and assess priorities, and take action without direction.
During school hours you will be primarily responsible for the efficient running of the house. As house-keeper, you’ll assist with all housekeeping and cleaning related duties, including laundry, as well as doing the grocery shopping and preparing meals for the household.
Consider yourself to be a good communicator? This role requires a can-do attitude, and the successful candidate will approach constructive communication as an essential component to keeping the family home running smoothly.
You will have an eye for detail, understanding what needs to be done, and enjoy seeing the end result of your work. It will benefit you greatly in this role, if you also like to be organised and tidy in your day-to-day life, as this is a key element of this role.
Outside of school hours you will provide sole charge care to the 5-year-old. You’ll leave to collect Miss 5 from school at 2.30pm, and the two of you will have loads of fun together during your afternoons!
As her nanny, you’ll facilitate stimulating child-led activities that are super fun, engaging, and exciting. Did you used to dream of having a pony for Christmas? Well Miss 5 totally did! She loves everything about horses, and regularly goes horse riding. Miss 5 also loves jumping on the trampoline and playing outside.
Childcare duties will include school runs, taking Miss 5 to after-school clubs and events, cooking meals, helping with homework and creating/overseeing interesting activities to inspire development. Naturally, during school holidays, and at times when Miss 5 is at home, the role will be more Nanny focused.
As always, the successful candidate will have a passion for childcare, and go about the role with a positive and respectful attitude. You’ll standout in this role if you have a passion for excellence.
You’ll need to be a driver to be successful in your application for this role. It will also be highly valued if you are competent in the kitchen.
In addition to the horse-loving Miss 5, this family have three older children. Ranging from 10 years to 17 years, these children spend the majority of their time living with other family members. Although at times, they may be present in the house. If so, they’ll be popping in every other Tuesday or thereabouts.
