Got loads of energy and an eye for detail? You’ll thrive in this role if you truly love
to provide exceptional care for children, are keen to oversee the smooth running of a family home and nurture and develop two inquisitive, active little boys with baby number 3 about to arrive .
Full time nanny housekeeper for family of young boys in Lewisham , South East London
Happy Nest are seeking an early years nanny to provide shared -charge care for two young boys. With mum due to have baby number 3, you’ll be providing nanny care for two boys aged 5.5 years and 3 year , Monday to Friday
With a 5 year old and a 3 year old on your hands, you’ll no doubt be busy! But don’t stress too much, your inner calm will keep things running smoothly throughout the day. It’ll also ensure you juggle everything thrown at you. So long as it’s not the discarded peas from Mr 3’s dinner plate!
You’ll be well positioned for this role if you’ve got several years experience as a nanny caring for pre-school aged children in the family home with experience in housekeeping.
Which means you’ll be familiar with juggling two different ages, at different stages of their exploration and development. And you’ll also be independent minded, needing very little direction. Mr 5.5 is in reception now and full of confidence , determination and independence with a natural curiosity about how things work in the world. He loves to be outdoors , running around and exploring so you’ll enjoy being active with him and getting involved in physical play. Mr 3 is at the same school and much like his older brother enjoys running and cycling , being active , he’s a real happy go lucky boy and takes life at a slower pace. He’s at his happiest playing with his favourite truck or being read a short story.
The family are health conscious vegetarians which really just means that you can prepare nutritious and healthy meals for little people from scratch using fresh ingredients. Whilst you’re at it, if you can do your best to smuggle in as many veggies as possible, then this role is perfect for you.
A driver or confident cyclist ( the family have a cargo bike ) is a requirement for this role, as you’ll need to drop both boys at school in the morning and collect them in the afternoon.
As an experienced nanny, you’ll be able to help with homework. Most importantly, you’ll be familiar with the various techniques to encourage and support school aged children as they learn to read and write.
Baby number three is due in August so whilst the older children are at school you will be around during the day to help mum with her newborn baby , assisting with nappy changes and watching baby if mum needs to rest.
The family have a cleaner who visits twice a week so the housekeeping side of the role is to ensure the house is kept tidy and organised throughout the week.
