Full Time Live in Nanny
Start date: ASAP
This lovely family from Hertford require an engaging live in nanny to provide shared and sole charge care of their family, 2 and a half year old month old son , 12 year old daughter and 13 year old sons
The family would love a nanny who really is just all about the play and fun for the children. As their youngest is three he moves onto the next activity really quickly. The perfect nanny will be happy to do playdough one minute, then read a book the next, play cars , then move onto building some amazing towers out of blocks only to knock them down because oh yes, he’s a toddler and his attention span means the toy car is perfect for ruining towers!. He is starting nursery three mornings a week Monday , Tuesday and Friday in September .
Your primary duties are to keep him amused and engaged, ensure he’s well cared for at all times, and is happy. It would be a bonus for age appropriate activities, and games that can stimulate his growth and development. You’ll also be required to assist with getting his meals and snacks ready some light children related housekeeping work like keeping the books and toys and their areas clean and tidy in order and children related laundry
The older children will be at school during the day but when they return home you will be there to engage with them and help with any homework, interact and form a relationship with them , taking them out on trips occasionally or maybe just playing ball games in the garden .
The perfect candidate will have a bubbly, fun personality and work on their own initiative, you’ll need to be reliable with a great background in childcare and previous experience in a live in role and have excellent references.
Your day will start at 7.30am and finish at 7pm Monday to Friday although some flexibility may be required if the family have a later work commitment.
You will also be required to work every other Saturday to help with the children’s activities but will have the following Monday free.
The candidate must help prepare and clear up at children’s meal times
The family also have a small dog so you will need to be comfortable around animals.
The candidate must be a competent driver and be happy to help on occasional drop offs and pick ups, inside and outside of school term times with the older children.
The family would love to find a nanny who can travel with them and really become part of their strong family unit.
