Are you creative at heart? This role is best suited to the on-the-go nanny. You’ll be switching gears from ballet to football to swimming, and be keen to facilitate opportunities to learn through play.
Full-Time (live-in or live-out) Sole-Charge Nanny For A Family With 3-Year-Old Twins in Grays, Essex.
Happy Nest Nanny Agency are seeking an experienced nanny to provide sole-charge care on a full-time basis for this busy family in Grays, Essex. This family reside in Chafford Hundred (Grays, Essex), with twin boy and girl 3-(almost 4)-year-olds, and hope to meet an on-the-go type nanny to provide wrap-around support.
If you’ve had experience with twins before, you’ll know they share a close bond, and the same is true for these two munchkins. They’re very bubbly and incredibly sociable little busybodies and like to be active and have lots of fun.
Miss 3-almost-4 loves her creative outlets. And you best know your plié from your jeté, as she’s also a keen dancer–especially if it’s ballet you’re talking about.
Her twin brother, on the other hand, rather enjoys his football and swimming classes. Plus, he’s already reading and doing calculations (can you believe you, boy genius)! Therefore, the preferred nanny will be skilled in presenting fun and engaging opportunities that encourage Mr 3-almost-4’s natural need to learn through play.
We’re sure you’ll find these two clever little cookies are both extremely intelligent!
- Monday to Friday; 7.30 am to 1 pm, and 3 pm to 8 pm
- Saturday; 7.30 am to 8 pm
This Essex based nanny position can be either a live-in, or live-out role.
Additional hours are available during the school holidays when children are at home.
On the topic of family, Mum does currently work from home. However, she does need to go into the office at times. So you’ll be on sole-charge duty of the twins and see to the morning and afternoon nursery drop-offs and pick-ups.
Although the twins attend nursery Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, family housekeeping is not expected in this role. Instead, once you’ve dropped the twins at nursery in the morning, you’ll spend the next few hours attending to child-related duties. And then come 5 pm, you’ll collect the twins, and either bring them home.
For example, you’ll help with the children’s laundry, and see that their wardrobes are organised and that clothes are put away. You’ll change their bedsheets routinely, and keep their toys and general play areas clean and tidy and well organised.
When it comes to mealtimes, again, you’re only expected to prepare a meal for the children. Although please note, Mr 3-almost-4 has a dairy intolerance. So you’ll need to take this into account when offering meals and snacks.
When the children are home during the school holidays, it would be ideal if you could plan daily activities and excursions to keep the children busy. And of course, no doubt there’ll be many playdates and fun games to be had at home too.
Plus, it would be an added bonus, if you were flexible to be able to travel with the family on occasion too during the holiday periods.
The twins do pursue a number of extra-curricular activities, so your Saturdays will most likely be spent going between football and ballet classes. Which sounds to us, like you’ll be needing to dress for all seasons and have a “to go” cup of tea or coffee permanently in hand!
You do not need to be a driver for this position.
If you’re interested, this job can be a live-in position. There is a separate bedroom available, and your own toilet. However, you will share the bathroom with the children.
