Full-Time Toddler Nanny – Live In

Job Ref: HN3718
Location: Swindon, Wiltshire
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £30,000 per annum, gross

This role is for the mother hen in all of us. We all benefit from a little tender loving care and these two little girls could use some from you. They’re kind, caring, compassionate, and creative-thinking little girls, waiting for you to join them on their adventures.

Full-Time Kind and Caring Early Years Nanny for a Family with Two Young Girls, in Swindon, Wiltshire on a live-in Basis.

Happy Nest Nanny Agency are seeking an experienced early-years nanny to join a family in Swindon, Wiltshire, full-time live-in.

This is a full-time live-in role, and an immediate start is preferred. In this position, you’ll provide much-needed support and stability to this young family.

These girls, aged 1 and 3, are hoping to meet a gentle and caring nanny who can offer them stability and support as they navigate the early years. Having recently gone through a traumatic experience, the girls need the benefit of a loving nanny who is nurturing and very empathetic.

From time to time, you’ll also take on a ‘proxy-parent’ type role as and when Dad (as the single parent with sole responsibility for the girls) travels for work and business. However in these instances, notice will always be given ahead of time, and you’ll always receive time-off in lieu.

Hours:

  • Monday to Friday; 7 am to 7 pm
  • Some additional proxy-parent duties will be required, with notice.

Nanny Duties:

This Wiltshire nanny role is best suited to a proactive nanny, with similar previous experience. You’ll be a keen problem-solver and decision-maker. And it goes without saying, but you’ll also be extremely responsible.

Being someone with oodles of patience, you’ll have the most impact if you approach this role with kindness, and are nurturing in nature. We’re thinking you’ll probably be something of a mother hen yourself.

Plus, given the girls’ interests and activities, it would be ideal if you can pull your creativity hat out of your magic bag of tricks semi-regularly.

  • All sole-charge care of the children during nanny hours
  • Healthy meal prep and snacks for the girls
  • Children’s laundry
  • Tidying and organising the children’s bedrooms and play areas
  • Tidying the kitchen and shared family areas after general daily use i.e. putting away their toys etc.

Miss 3 loves books, singing, and creative play. She enjoys interacting with others and is easily engaged with activities. And whilst she also loves watching videos, you might need to keep an eye on the screen time for the sake of balance. Miss 3 will most likely begin nursery-school, local to their home, in September.

At any age, but certainly, at this age, you’ll find Miss 1 is a gorgeous little bundle of joy. She’s currently exploring the world around her and finding fun in the littlest of things. It’s such a special time, and as she grows and develops and progresses into the toddler stages, your input will make the world of difference.

Bearing in mind toddlers at this age love something one minute, and not the next, Miss 1 currently has a different set of interests to her older sister. She’s more of an active and outdoors-loving child. Add she’s so far, not that keen on books just yet.

We’re sure you’ll introduce her to the joys of board books and peekaboo flap books sooner than later. I mean, Dear Zoo is a classic!

No doubt over the next 12 months, Miss 1 will continue to progress with walking, talking, and eating. So you’ll be knowledgeable in these milestones, and offer support with everything from learning how to use toddler cutlery, to potty training and everything else that pops up in the daily life and happenings of a busy 1-year-old.

Together with these two little girls, you’ll experience so many moments that will leave your heart bursting with pride and your eyes full of sparkle.

They’re both good little eaters and love their food. And whilst the grocery shopping and other housekeeping type responsibilities are not required for this role, it would be hugely appreciated if you could prep the girls’ meals and snacks. So if you happened to pop by a shop after your morning activities, it would be ideal to pick up whatever you might need for their dinners.

Whilst you’re off the clock come 7 pm, you might find that occasionally the girls do wake at night. So you will need to help resettle them, compassionately, at times too when needed.

Live-in Accommodation:
You will have your own large bedroom with a private en-suite.

Originally a market town, Swindon is now a modern town on the fringe of some of England’s finest countryside. With famous attractions not too far away. The family home is located in a lovely area of the town, within walking distance to a great selection of restaurants, bars and shops.

A driver is not essential for this role. And the family do not have any pets.
