Happy Nest Nanny Agency seek a highly experienced and professional nanny for this full-time, live-in role in Whitefield, Manchester. This is a 12-month maternity cover position, which will see the successful applicant take on the “Head Nanny” role within a team of rota nannies.

The successful applicant will be highly experienced and educated, and comfortable taking on a leadership position. It’s vital you demonstrate experience and proven ability in a similar position. You will be reliable, proactive, able to take charge of a situation, and capable to manage your time, the team, and the demands of the role.
Plus, the preferred candidate will possess up-to-date knowledge of how to raise independent, secure, and conscious little people. The applicant will be professional at all times, dedicated to the role, and extremely personable. You will be a skilled communicator, health-conscious, a good cook, and travel-ready.

This is a rota position, in where you will work opposite shifts to the other nanny: one week on, and one week off, over a 7-day period. As a result of this default shift pattern, you will be ‘on shift’ 2 out of 4 weekends. Furthermore, as this is a live-in role, you will be ‘on shift’ day and night, whilst on the premises. Once you’ve completed this shift pattern, the Head Nanny will then be off duty for 7 consecutive days and nights.
As the Head Nanny, you will cover the other nanny’s holidays.
This is a managerial/PA style role, so you’ll be required to think not just of the daily routine, but also as to the boy’s ongoing requirements. Therefore the preferred candidate will be highly organised, take action independently, and demonstrate the ability to work not only to a set routine but also offer further ‘added value’.
For example, you’ll oversee all school correspondence, liaise with the children’s health professionals for routine check-ups and appointments, and ensure travel items such as passports are up-to-date. You’ll also arrange extra-curricular activities.
Communication is highly valued in this position. And in order to succeed in this Head Nanny position, you will need to maintain open lines between both Dad, and the other nanny.
