Part-Time Mother’s Help/Housekeeper role with a family in Northwood, Middlesex, 3 days per week.
Happy Nest Nanny Agency is seeking a professional mother’s help nanny/housekeeper for this role in Northwood, Middlesex. This is a permanent, part-time position, to provide a mix of shared and sole-charge care for this growing family.
With a 14-month-old boy and a new baby due very soon, this family are keen to benefit from the expertise and support of an experienced nanny. You’ll primarily provide an extra pair of hands, especially around pick up and drop off times, and also to aid mum with meal prep and childcare.
The ideal candidate will be experienced with housekeeping duties such as meal preparation and cooking for the family, as well as general cleaning and housekeeping for the household.
To stand out in this position, you’ll be a great team player. So if you understand the value of teamwork and can work both collaboratively and independently, then this role is for you. The ideal nanny will be proactive and offer the extra pair of hands that is so needed.
- Monday, and Thursday; 7.30 am to 7.30 pm
- Wednesday; 12 pm to 4 pm
As the mother’s help, you’ll have had a great deal of experience providing care for young children, as well as well-rounded knowledge of the general household requirements.
Plus, with mum due to have baby number two in March, it would be highly advantageous if you’ve had prior experience caring for babies. And whilst mum will be home, and very hands-on, she would appreciate your help and support with sterilising bottles and changing nappies. You’ll also be experienced with the various development stages such as weaning, walking, talking, and toilet training.
- Do the nursery drop-offs and pick-ups
- Meal plan and batch cook for the family
- General household cleaning and housekeeping
- Family laundry, and ironing
- Provide an extra pair of hands to mum with the new baby
Mr 14-months attends nursery during the day from 8 am to 1 pm. And so your morning will commence by doing the morning nursery drop off, which is only a 10-minute drive from home. You’ll then collect him again for 1 pm, and bring in home, for his afternoon sleep.
Whilst the little one is at nursery, you’ll have the time to see to the housekeeping related duties of the household. This family enjoy a lovely 5-bedroom house, although only 3 rooms are in use. And again, only 2 of the 4 bathrooms are in use. So you’ll attend to the house, keeping it clean and tidy and really just staying on top of everything.
Plus, you’ll help mum to prepare and cook meals. Mum will work with you to meal plan, and will generally do a grocery shop online. And then you will prep and batch cook meals, especially for dad to take to work with him.
Speaking of Mr 14-months; he’s a little social butterfly! He’s very comfortable around others and is generally a really friendly and sociable little boy. He loves to sing nursery rhymes and given he loves animals, one of his favourite nursery rhymes is Hickory Dickory Dock. Crowd pleaser!
At the moment Mr 14-months is not yet a great eater. But no doubt, your expertise will offer a huge range of toddler-approved, healthy, and appealing meals that will have him going back for 2nds. Ahem, veggie smuggling… Need we say more?
As a result of the new baby due to arrive in mid-March, this position has an immediate start.
You must be a driver with own car to be successful for this role.
- A recognised childcare qualification
- An up to date paediatric first aid certificate
- Minimum at least 3 years experience
