Caring for 3 young children

Live Out Nanny

Job Ref:
Bath, Somerset
Full-time, Permanent
Salary: Negotiable depending on experience

Happy Nest Nanny and Maternity Recruitment Agency are looking for a friendly, kind, caring nanny for three children, aged 6, and twins who are 20 months (and will be 2 years old in September). They require a Nanny local to Bath, Somerset. In addition to the children they have 3 dogs. The children are all easy going, friendly and happy children. Eldest daughter is a bright, inquisitive and very engaging little girl who loves nature, playing outside, reading, and watching films (when she’s allowed). The twins are lovely little souls. Twin one is robust and physical, and so affectionate — his Peter Rabbit comforter is an essential piece of equipment. He is running round, and his words are increasing daily, he loves getting his wellies on and going outside. Twin 2 is slightly less physical than her brother, she is also walking and chatting — she loves her teddies. They both love reading and always bring books over to sit down and have a cuddle and a look at the book.
The nanny role will include a mixture of sole and shared charge.

Nanny in Bath, Somerset Hours:

Mum is a consultant based at Southmead Hospital in Bristol so the days working would be sole charge. Hours are 7.30am to 7pm Monday to Thursday — very occasionally this may need to extend to 7am to 7pm. Mum rota is a rolling 6-week rota — one week of every six weeks mum is full time so these weeks are a little more intense and include more sole care. The remaining five of six weeks mum works 1-2 days per week so there is much more flexibility. Mum likes to be hands on with the children but also hugely values the help and fully recognise and appreciate the help and support a nanny provides.
The nanny role will include standard nanny duties, preparing meals, participating in the school run, taking the twins to classes etc. The nanny would not be expected to walk the dogs but liking dogs and being able to provide cuddles and feed them sometimes is helpful. full clean driving licence is essential and a car for the children is provided. The family would like the person taking this role to be a non-smoker.

  • Fully Enhanced DBS certificate – Essential
  • Paediatric First Aid – Essential
  • Recognised Childcare Qualification
  • Experience as a nanny for twins is desirable but not essential
  • Driving Licence
  • Minimum 3 years childcare experience
