Full Time, Experienced, Early Years Nanny For Family in Whitchurch, Shropshire
If you’ve had experience with littles, you’ll know how special (and fun) the early years can be. The first milestones – their first teeth, first finger foods, those first tentative steps on wobbly legs, and their first words – leave your cup full of love and your memories full of special moments. And with all that running around after curious little people who are experiencing life with brimming enthusiasm, you’ll also know it’s an experience that keeps you on your toes!
Happy Nest are seeking a full time early years Shropshire nanny with experience caring for younger children. The ideal nanny will be fun, energetic and likewise full of enthusiasm to engage the children in exciting daily activities. You’ll be best suited to this position if you have significant experience of caring for multiple children under the age of five.
Shropshire Nanny Responsibilities:
Go ahead and take the initiative with this role. Be proactive in planning your days and about doing your best to support the family’s pattern and the children’s routines. Also, hot tip: keep a set of wellies and a mac permanently stored in the boot of your car. Your good sense to think ahead and be prepared will ensure the four of you breeze through your days together like a walk in the park. Ahem, likely quite literally.
This position would really suit a nanny who loves to be active and feels at home in the countryside.
- 8am to 7pm, Monday to Friday
This is a truly special time to be involved in children’s lives. The early years provide so much scope for learning and discovery. There’s endless opportunity for activities, games, education, and life experiences. It’s also prime time for the endless “but why” questions, so you may want to brush up on your general knowledge. Or you know, keep OK Google close by!
With a pre-walker, a toddler, and three-nager (god love ’em), now’s the time to be “all in.” Your spidey-sense lightning sharp reflexes are really going to be useful, and your quick thinking in the moment will help you out of any sticky situations (just remember to keep the lid firmly closed on the sudocrem tub).
If you’re interested in crafts and creating stimulating learning opportunities from even the most day-to-day activities to support the early years, then you’re really going to enjoy this experience. By providing developmentally appropriate and educational games for the children, you can be proud of the safe and nurturing environment you provide for the children, and of the bond you’ll share together.
You’ll also need to prepare healthy meals, be confident in supporting nap times, and maintain good standards of hygiene (see our point about the sudocrem and sticky fingers above). Full nursery duties will also be required.
There’s so much joy to be had in this role. A passionate nanny will absolutely love the opportunity to have such a rewarding impact on the foundational growth and development of young children.
Also to note, the ideal nanny will be pet friendly, and have prior experience swimming with children.
