Part Time, Superhero Loving Live Out Nanny Housekeeper for A Manchester Family
Happy Nest are seeking an experienced nanny housekeeper to join a family with three school aged children in Chorlton-cum-Hardy, Manchester. This part time position is Monday to Wednesday, 8am to 6.30pm.
These three children – a 4-year-old girl, 6-year-old boy, and 10-year-old boy – are active and engaged little people with diverse interests. However, the common theme amongst the three is that they love to play!
Miss 4 loves role play, superheroes, and playing out in the garden. Mr 6 is all about exploring space and the solar system. He’s keen to know all the planets, and potentially even discover far away worlds (I mean you never know what’s out there right?). Naturally, at age 6, he also loves dinosaurs. Obvs.
The eldest, Mr 10, is also fascinated with superheroes (namely the Avengers). He’s a good little reader, and enjoys reading comics. So we’d not be too surprised if he’s itching to get his little hands on the latest Avengers comic to hit the press. However, Mr 10 equally loves football, and is also quite partial to watching tv.
As the sole-charge nanny housekeeper for these three children, you’ll become their go-to person Monday through Wednesday. You’ll be able to offer a balance between caring and nurturing, with a side of fun that require bursts of activity and energy. Can do? Awesome.
You’ll also need to tap into your diligent nature, staying on top of tasks and keeping yourself busy during the day. Which means you’ll thrive on organisation and love making your way through a to-do list.

Manchester Nanny Housekeeper Duties:
Nanny housekeeper duties will involve the daily morning and afternoon school runs. You’ll also with homework, and plan stimulating and enjoyable activities for the children around school hours.
The children attend a local primary school within a 15 to 20 minute walking distance from the family home. And whilst it is possible to walk this distance, the family would prefer a driver.
Ready to wear all the hats? This role encompasses some housekeeping duties. You’ll see to these tasks during the day whilst the children are at school. Yass to a quiet house!
You’ll take care of the family laundry and ironing, and put away clothes. And keeping in mind that these three young children are growing at a rapid pace, you’ll keep their wardrobes organised, and regularly go through clothes to ensure they still fit and that they’re in good condition.
Moving on to the kitchen and family areas, you’ll enjoy the opportunity to attack that never ending tupperware cupboard. While you’re at it, why not sort the family pantry and put together a meal plan for family meals. As the housekeeper, you’ll prepare meals, snacks and school lunches. You’ll also see to all cleaning requirements of the family home.
Mapped out the family meal plan? Great! You’ll be able to shop for any groceries you might need, making sure the pantry is well stocked.
Are you an animal lover? This family is seeking a pet friendly nanny housekeeper. The children have pet rabbits, and they’ll need daily feeding and their pens cleaned weekly. Hot tip, you’ll probably be able to corral the older children to help you with this. As you’ll know it’s important to teach the children the importance of responsibility and caring for their pets.
Once you’ve collected the children, the afternoons are usually busy. So you’ll be super happy knowing you’ve used your quiet time during the day to get ahead of your tasks.
Don’t forget to go through any school admin that comes through the front pocket of their school bags. And it’s a good idea to sort out pe and football kits whilst you’re in school organisation mode!
This role stipulates you coordinate with the family to take holidays at the same time as the family.
