Happy Nest Nanny Agency are recruiting for a kind and fun-loving nanny to provide care for two busy boys aged eight and four in Heathfield, East Sussex. The successful applicant will be highly organised, task-oriented, efficient, self-motivated and an excellent multi-tasker.
This Nanny/PA role is a fantastic opportunity to combine an office admin role with a nanny role. The successful applicant will join this professional family in a nanny capacity, as well as a personal assistant/office assistant capacity.
A female managing director of a construction/engineering company based in Halisham, East Sussex, is recruiting a combined PA, office admin, and nanny role to support her at home and at work.
This position requires a medium to long-term commitment to ensure a stable home-life for the children.
This Sussex-based Nanny/PA role will cover 40 hours per week. Although flexibility of hours is offered, provided that the after-school childcare hours are covered. In school holidays the hours of the role will not change. However, nanny duties may be reduced.
Majority of annual leave is to be taken during school holidays when possible. Additional evening babysitting hours may be available, although not essential.
- General office tasks between the hours of 9:30/10 a.m. and 2:30 pm

Your complete discretion will be required when working in the office. The successful applicant is required to sign an NDA to prevent the disclosure of details of family life to other staff. Similarly, the children must not be involved in day-to-day work activity.
The preferred candidate will be required to pop to the shops during office hours to pick up lunch and collect groceries for the children etc.
- Sole-charge nanny care; term time

Nanny duties are primarily after-school in term time. This will include 3-4 days of school pick-ups. As well as driving children to after-school clubs such as football and gymnastics. Your day will normally finish by 6:15 pm.
When at home you should be strict but fun and engaged with the children. Dad works away Monday to Thursday. In the summer the family would like you to take the children out for picnic teas and play in the woods or trips to the playground.
In the winter, a trip out for a hot chocolate could be fun. The preferred candidate will be comfortable around other children, so as to facilitate play-dates with the children’s friends on occasion.
You’ll prepare family meals for the children, and supervise homework and after-school play. Some light housekeeping is required. And the children’s laundry may be required.
The successful applicant will be involved in the child-related admin. You’ll make doctor’s appointments for the children. Arrange for repeat prescriptions. Purchase and wrap Christmas presents for the children, and gifts for children’s birthday parties. As well as additional items that fall within the regular daily life of the children.
Some of these tasks are to be carried out whilst in the office during the day.
Should occasionally one of the children be ill, you may be asked to look after them at home as opposed to attending to the office.
Some early mornings will be required to cover childcare, from about 6 am or 7 am, until school starts. These hours can be paid as overtime, or time taken off in lieu. The early mornings are likely to be a Wednesday or Thursday. Rarely more frequent than two a month.
The successful Nanny/PA applicant in Sussex will hold a full driver’s licence. Although you do not require your own car.
