Happy Nest Nanny Agency are seeking a full time temporary live out nanny/housekeeper/PA for a family known to them in Great Missenden , Buckinghamshire to support them while their existing nanny goes on maternity leave in November .
The family want a proactive and resourceful nanny with the ability to slot easily into family life.
The family have a 17 year old son and two dogs which require daily walks. The family also employ a cleaner , ironing help and a gardener .
Hours 7.15am- 18.30pm
Salary £824 gross per week
Looking after child’s needs to include welfare, healthy diet and nutrition, development, fitness and wellbeing. Reinforcing good behaviour, politeness and personal organisation. Driving him to where he should be on time, safely and with the right kit. Preparing the evening before so there is no rushing before school in the morning
Supervision of child , keeping him company if parents are away.
Provide dedicated time daily to personally supervise, support and encourage evening and holiday homework, helping with revision for tests checking and rewarding understanding of what he’s done in class.
Daily review of school websites, the family account and calendar to ensure all school, and parent information is highlighted in good time for necessary decision or involvement.
Using calendar to book/confirm weekly tutors and fitness trainer
Duties to include the emptying of school bags to get homework underway, uniform/kit ready to be washed and shoes polished and put away.
Housekeeper duties, including, but not limited to:
Keeping the kitchen, Utility room, Cupboards and Fridges, hoovered clean and tidy every day. Also, child’s bedroom and bathroom, tidied
Liaise with cleaner on things she needs and generally forge a strong relationship with her. Cleaner works Wednesdays and Fridays.
Laundry and drying of the family’s clothes and bedding and put ready for ironing collection on a Thursday.
Ensuring that school clothes are kept labelled and in good repair.
Preparing a weekly shopping list for the household and completing the shopping trip.
Planning, preparing and cooking the family evening meal, maintaining a supply and choice of frozen, healthy home prepared dishes which can also be used as an emergency.
Recycling and rubbish are ready for weekly collection.
The provided car is kept clean and tidy, with a regular clean and polish inside and out.
Managing the household administration to ensure smooth running e.g. Taxing cars, dry cleaning collection, collecting prescriptions, overseeing workmen (as necessary), gardener, etc
fine weather, tidying the outside patio area, watering plants.
Daily care for dogs , with walks of an hour twice a day, feeding, grooming, vet trips and general companionship. In the immediate short term minimise time they are alone and supervise them to prevent damage/accidents
In addition, the Employer may require you to help them with other household items, domestic chores, which the Employer may discuss with you from time to time. The family keep a ‘never ending list of jobs!’ in the house which you are invited and welcome to join them in working through in any available time you have.
School holiday activities are to be balanced, to include schoolwork, friend meet ups and outings. You will need to ensure he is safely dropped at and collected from an agreed location and be able to contact one another in case of emergencies
