Happy Nest are seeking a proactive live in mother’s help / Junior nanny / au pair to join a lovely family of three on a live in basis.
The ideal candidate will be caring, fun and full of energy, whilst also being highly organised, proactive, and open to flexibility.
These children – a 9 year old and 7 year old boy – love life , The youngest boy loves all things Harry Potter and is already reading the series, he’s full of energy , noisy and into climbing ( just as every 7 year old boy should be of course ! ) He is also a budding artist and loves to draw and paint. He does enjoy his video games but this is kept in check with lots of other fun activities.
Daughter aged 9 is a lovely girl who is a bit of a dreamer, she loves to play and is performing really well in school. Lots of imagination and has a lovely pleasant nature. If you’re happy to push babies around in her pram with her you’ll take to this role with ease.
You’ll really enjoy this position if you’re able to be adaptable , and enjoy taking the initiative as mum does travel a far bit with work ( pre covid ) at least two late evenings a week.
The Role Hours:
- 7am-8.45 3pm-7pm
- Occasional nights of late babysitting care just Monday to Friday not expected at the weekend . Extra hours may be required during school holidays but these would be negotiated in advance .
The Role Duties:
Day-to-day, you’ll be in charge of caring for the children, and keeping the general household in order. Your main role will see you as the caring, bubbly nanny of the two children They attend school locally, only a few minutes walk away and enjoys various extracurricular activities ( Covid allowing ). The ideal nanny will know how to balance the need for fun and spontaneity, with maintaining a schedule.Your mornings will involve the typical breakfast routine, before racing out of the house for school drop offs. The afternoons are usually made up of after-school activities before coming home for dinner, bath, and bed.
Your strong organisational skills will come into play as you keep the children’s areas tidy and their laundry sorted and ordered with their bed linen changed regularly.
Put your chef hat on, and meal prep some of the children’s’ favourite healthy meals and sit down together to eat .Playing to your strengths, rest assured that only child related duties are the order of the day for this family; they also have a cleaner.
Whilst you’re at it, and if we’re honest it goes with out saying although we’ll say it anyway, raising these children to be well mannered, respectful and capable people is really important part of the job.
There is a large bedroom and shared bathroom with the children for the nanny within this lovely family home.
Hours are around 35 per week which includes 2 evenings babysitting
This role would be ideal for you if you are studying or want some flexibility during the day and can be adaptable to the family’s needs.
