Baby/Toddler Nanny – Part Time
- Job Ref: HN3708
- Location: Manchester, City-Centre
- Job Type: Part-time
- Salary: £22,000 gross, per annum
Are you kind, nurturing, and fluent in baby-speak? This is a position designed for the early years nanny–lots of big moments, lots of activities, and lots of time spent slowing down and being in the moment.
Part-Time Nanny with infant experience to care for baby boy in Manchester city-centre, four days per week.
Happy Nest Nanny and Maternity Agency are seeking a nanny to join this Manchester city-centre family four days per week to care for their 17-week-old baby boy. If you love the baby and toddler ages and are available part-time, then yep, we’re looking at you.
You’ll provide much-needed support to this new family. Mum runs a successful business in the Manchester city-centre. And naturally, the addition of her gorgeous baby boy has thrown her productivity schedule for a loop.
Note: this role starts at three days per week and progresses to four days per week.
So your expertise to provide loving, warm, and dedicated sole-charge care to her little boy whilst mum is at work will benefit everyone immensely.
The baby boy currently suffers from silent reflux (poor thing, it’s the actual worst for all involved). Therefore the ideal nanny will have previous knowledge and experience caring for babies with similar requirements.
- Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday (+Friday in the future)
- 9 am to 5 pm
There is flexibility on the times, but always 8 hours per day, three days per week. With the addition of a full day on Fridays as the role progresses. The role is salaried at £22,000 gross per annum based on 8 hours per day, 4 days per week.
There will be some occasional overnights and evening babysitting available. Notice will be given, and time off from the regular days during the week will be arranged to accommodate.
You’ll provide support and flexibility to this professional (and extremely busy) young family.
As the baby boy suffers from silent reflux, you’ll need to administer medication. And you’ll know to keep him upright (for all the baby cuddles) for at least 30 minutes after a feed. Although our expert baby consultants say 45 minutes is the optimal time.
It’s important to note that the baby is in a really great nap routine, and it’s vital you’re able to continue this routine. He absolutely loves his milk and food and is a very happy smiley baby. He giggles a lot, especially when you sing with him.
The ideal nanny will be keen to get out and about and take him to lots of baby-appropriate activities. There are lots in the city. He loves baby sensory (particularly the baby sensory say hello song) and enjoys playing with foil and his fibre optic light.
So there’s an opportunity here to really make each day new and fun for all. At this age, everything is exciting, and it’s your responsibility to show him the world and ensure he loves it!
As first time parents, and a working mum doing all the things, they’re naturally feeling the speed at which this new season of life is racing along. And they don’t want to miss a second of it (even if their work and responsibilities divide their attention).
So whilst this role has the makings of a true best-friend relationship, as you explore the #nannylife together, we know you’ll have a collaborative approach and value communication.
It’s a gift to be able to experience everything anew through little eyes. And the simplest of things each day are inherently rewarding. But it’s also important to remember this little baby boy is going to grow and develop at a lighting fast-pace. And his mummy is going to want to be kept in the loop about all of it. Those “firsts” are kind of a big deal in the mum life!
You’ll need to have previous experience caring for babies in a sole-charge environment to be successful for this position. A driver is not essential.
Now’s the time to brush up on weaning, babywearing, sensory development activities, and everything on offer for a growing baby boy in the Manchester city-centre. This position is ideal for all of you if you love the baby and toddler years. We sure do!
