Part-Time Nanny in Hale, Altrincham for two children aged 8 and 10
Start date: FILL IN THE BLANK
A professional family working from home due to Coronavirus welcome the support of a professional nanny for this full-time, temporary live-out nanny position. Their two children, girls aged 2 and 11-months, are now at home as a result of their nursery having closed.
Both parents are busy professionals in the law profession and are still required to work. Although from home at present. As such, they require the support of a nanny to provide sole-charge care of the children whilst they continue to work.
This is initially a short term temporary position for approximately 12 weeks. However, given the uncertainty of the ongoing situation, this position could be extended if required.
The successful applicant will be happy to accept this role as a short-term temporary, self-employed position.
The preferred nanny will demonstrate the ability to work professionally in the home to provide exceptional care for the children, whilst the parents are also at home. Naturally we understand this is a unique situation for many. However, you will be a skilled communicator, and excel in understanding and meeting the dynamic needs of the children. You will go about your duties, and provide warm and loving care, with full understanding that this family (particularly the girls) will be feeling a level of uncertainty having been displaced from their usual routine.
- 9 am to 5 pm; Monday to Friday
*the family are offering a degree of flexibility with days
Normal sole-charge nanny duties are required. Although social distancing measures will apply.
These two girls are very activity little busy bees. Given they are normally in a nursery setting, they are accustomed to age-appropriate activities. Therefore the successful nanny will continue to facilitate a similar environment in the home.
And you will provide an ongoing level of activity and developmentally appropriate projects and games. You will have the option to shop online for activities and things to be able to provide these initiations to play. Plus, you’ll be pleased to know this family welcome outdoor play. They have a garden with a small swing, a slide, and a pop-up ball pit.
- All sole-charge nanny duties
- Meal preparation and offering of snacks
- Facilitating age-appropriate and developmentally-appropriate activities
- Child-related housekeeping duties
- Shopping online to replenish activities and games for the children during this period of social distancing
They’re both great eaters. Although both girls are dairy intolerant. And the successful nanny will be aware of this when prepping meals and snacks. At the moment Miss 11-months has a mixture of puréed food and finger foods. And Miss Two loves sausages and fish fingers.
Miss Two enjoys the outdoors, and is often described as a little jumping bean! And she loves to be challenged. Each morning when she first wakes up, she immediately reaches for her favourite storybooks. Books such as The Tiger Who Came To Tea, and The Whale and the Snail and Stickman are popular choices. The books called ‘You choose’ that have hundreds of pictures in them are also winners.
Miss Two enjoys craft and activities that engage her independent thinking and problem-solving abilities. For example, she loves matching games and quizzes. Naturally, she’s also a fan of Peppa Pig. Miss Two is toilet-trained.
Unlike Miss Two, her younger sister is much more laid back. You’ll find she’s very easy going. Miss 11-months has two naps each day, one in the morning, and one at lunchtime. Whilst she’s not yet walking, she is crawling everywhere and really enjoys cruising around on the furniture. So you’ll need to have eyes in the back of your head and remain vigilant at all times!
She looks up to her older sister and wants everything she has. Naturally! At present, she’s still breastfeeding. However mum is looking to wean her onto a cup for milk in the near future.
