Happy Nest are seeking a Nanny who loves the early years for a family with one child but soon to be two.
This little boy aged 2 is adorable and like most two-year-old boys sweet and cheeky but very well behaved. He loves to play outside and kick a ball around. He loves Thomas the tank engine and trains. He is at the nursery in the area just two days a week 8am -1pm which is a short drive away so you will do his nursery run and the rest of the day will be supporting mum with her new baby and helping with some of the household duties for the family. They really want a nanny that feels relaxed around them who will become part of their family and see this as a long term position.
The ideal nanny will be a nanny who is engaging and fun around their son who will get up and kick a football around the garden with him and plan activities around his interests. You will need to have good attention to detail and be proactive around the home ensuring the home is tidy. You will also need to have experience working with young babies as mum is due to have a c-section so you will need to help care for baby around the first initial weeks with nappy changes and handing baby to mum for a feed.
To be successful in this role, you will be an experienced childcare with at least 2 years experience in a similar role/a recognised childcare qualification/ full driving licence and an Enhanced DBS certificate.
3 days per week
£12-14 gross per hour
Day-to-day duties will include ….
- Morning and afternoon nursey runs
- Getting the little boy ready in the mornings
- Taking him to and from various activities (when required)
- Keep the rooms clean and tidy including bathrooms
- Playing with the child and organise age appropriate developmental / educational activities
- Helping mum with new baby, nappy changes etc
- Preparing simple yet healthy and delicious meals for the family
This is a lovely hands-on role for a proactive nanny, good cooking skills, love routine & schedules, follows instruction easily, firm but fair, outgoing, and sociable and happy to support the family at such a busy time in their lives.
You’ll need to be a driver for this role
- Minimum 2 years’ experience
- Paediatric first aid certificate
- Fully enhanced DBS certificate
- Driving essential
Start Date- Mid August
